Honor Magic V2 and Honor X50 Smartphones Launch Expected in July: Here’s What to Expect

Honor is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated devices, the Honor Magic V2 and the Honor X50 according to latest leaks shared by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. These upcoming smartphones are expected to succeed the popular Honor Magic V and the Honor X40, respectively.
According to sources, the Honor X50 is likely to debut in China on July 5, followed by the release of the Honor Magic V2 on July 12. The leak further suggests that the Honor Magic V2 will come in two variants, featuring either the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G chipset.
The Honor Magic V2, a book-style foldable smartphone, is anticipated to have impressive features. It is rumored to sport a 108-megapixel primary rear camera sensor, offering exceptional photography capabilities. The device is also anticipated to feature an upgraded LTPO display with a higher refresh rate than its predecessor, surpassing 90Hz, and offering higher frequency PWM dimming. The handset is speculated to house a 5,000mAh battery and support 66W wired fast charging, similar to the Honor Magic V.
Additionally, the leak divulged details about the upcoming Honor X50 model. It is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone is expected to boast a larger 6.78-inch AMOLED display, surpassing the 6.67-inch panel of its predecessor, the X40. Furthermore, the display is rumored to offer a higher resolution of 2400 x 1220 pixels, compared to the 2400 x 1080 pixels of the X40 handset.
Photography enthusiasts will be delighted to know that the Honor X50 is rumored to feature a 108-megapixel primary camera sensor alongside a 2-megapixel sensor in the rear camera unit. The device is also expected to sport dual front camera units for capturing stunning selfies. The smartphone is speculated to house a 5,800mAh battery with 35W wired fast charging, ensuring extended usage and quick recharging.
